Event Coordinator
Responsible for coordinating events promoting the CFA Program and the growth of candidates and members in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and assist in developing awareness of the CFA brand among universities and CFA Institute key markets in EMEA.
Job responsibilities include:
Event Organization
- Liaise with designers, vendors, and contractors
- Prepare work lists and budgets
- Assist U.S. office team in the coordination and organization of EMEA educational events and exhibitions
University Program Support
- Assist with outreach projects enhancing the relationship within university/society/employer triangle
- Assist with preparation of materials and delivery to societies, universities, and employers
- Assist in designing programs to enhance relationship with constituencies in EMEA region
Office Support
- Assist with office administrative work and projects from time to time
- Act as Exam Administration Specialist for CFA examinations in EMEA
- Coordinate office visits of Education staff from the US
Position requires:
- University degree with proven relevant experience in the business field, preferably in the investment industry
- Organizational, time-management, and office management skills
- Team-oriented work ethic with professional demeanor and interpersonal skills
- Customer service and relationship management skills
- Communication skills (both written and oral)
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and global issues

Office Manager
Job responsibilities include:
- Logging and settlement of all invoices and payments and responsible for compiling end-of-month statements
- Managing accounts with providers of goods and services
- Managing the petty cash account and assisting in the management of the UK bank account
- Preparing the annual office budget
- In charge of office facilities including the purchase of office equipment (IT or furniture) and stationery
- Responsible for office filing systems
- Negotiating office leases and securing office space as needed/directed
- Local HR involvement
- Dealing with telephone answering system for candidates’ and members’ queries about CFA Institute and examination program
Position requires:
- Minimum five years requisite experience

Senior Secretary – EMEA
Job responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative underpinning for the European, Middle East, and Africa region (EMEA) and supplying administrative and secretarial support for staff based in London as and when required
- Assisting in the coordination of major events, including program development, preparing large invitation lists, handling invitation mailshots, and receiving, recording and classifying the responses
- Supporting communications and outreach activities as directed
- Drafting and signing correspondence with external stakeholders on own account or on instruction from Head, CFA Institute Centre for Financial Market Integrity and/or Head, Marketing
- Taking meeting minutes on a range of substantial subjects, such as overseas meeting reports, society issues, comment letters to regulators, policy documents and drafting notes
- Managing diaries
- Making travel and accommodation arrangements
- Arranging a variety of meetings
- Completing / reconciling monthly expense reports
- Answering inquiries and communicating with other stakeholders such as society representatives, other members, training organizations, etc.
- Miscellaneous duties as required

Director, Educational Content
CFA Institute is currently seeking two Directors for the Education Division. The Educational Division provides lifelong learning opportunities through the CFA Program and Post-CFA Professional Educational programs such as conferences, executive education programs, publications, webcasts and online structured learning programs. Job responsibilities include:
Business Development
- Coordinate with Head of area to develop strategic plan that creates educational products and services targeted towards investment professionals and member societies in the area of expertise
- Evaluate and coordinate other products and service offerings in related areas
- Coordinate with Educational Products and Marketing areas to conduct market research on member needs
- Ensure product delivery is consistent with principles of Lifelong Learning Strategy
- Engage potential partner organizations
- Implement education initiatives in a cross-divisional fashion
Content
- Create or source content to implement Lifelong Learning strategic initiatives
- Consult with luminaries for guidance on content
- Support Lifelong Learning Strategy effort in developing content and programming for CFA Program, conferences, executive education programmes, professional development programmes (including society partnership programs), and publications
- Teach programmes in specialty area and related areas
Public Awareness
- Increase CFA Institute brand awareness among investment professionals, the general investing public and clients of members
- Establish CFA Institute as a “go to” resource in specialty area
Position requires:
- Experience in investment industry and demonstrated expertise in specialty area
- Superb organizational, project management and communication (written, oral, and presentation) skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team as the situation requires
- Sensitivity to and awareness of cultural differences
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Charterholder strongly preferred
