60 Years — A Timeline

 

On 11 June 1947, a handful of financial analysts met to talk about joining forces. Together, they thought, they could build something to foster the growth of their budding occupation.

 

At that time, financial analysis was just a practice. But these men had an idea — an idea that financial analysis could be something more. And so, in a small Manhattan deli, they formed the National Federation of Financial Analysts Societies — and created the framework for a profession.
