Four Steps To Enroll and Register in the CFA Program

Before you enroll in the CFA Program and register for your first exam:
1. Meet the entrance requirements:
-
Have a U.S. bachelor's (or equivalent) degree
- or be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program at the time of registration
- or have four years of qualified, professional work experience

or have a
combination of work and college experience that totals at least
four years
(Note: Summer, part-time, and internship positions do not qualify.)
- Understand the professional conduct requirements (you will be asked to sign statements of Professional Conduct and Candidate Responsibility)
- Be prepared to take the exams in English
- Effective 1 January 2011: Have a valid international travel passport (required for enrollment and exam registration)
2. Decide when to take your exam
- Level I is available in June and December; Level II and III exams are only offered in June. Review the CFA program calendar
- If you initially enrolled/registered as a final year undergraduate student with a degree in progress, you must have completed your degree program and updated your account education information before you can register for the Level II exam
- Review the enrollment/exam registration fee schedule (enrollment and registration fees are nontransferable and nonrefundable)
