If you have a religious obligation or beliefs that prevent you from taking the exam on the regularly scheduled exam date, we will arrange for you to sit for the exam on the alternate date at your registered test center.

To request the alternate date, you must be registered for a standard exam date and submit the Religious Alternate Date Request Form (PDF). Your completed form must be received by CFA Institute at least 75 days before exam day. We will confirm your request via e-mail.

Returning Candidates: If you have previously submitted the Religious Alternate Date Form for religious beliefs, you don't need to fill out the form again; however, you must let us know you intend to sit for the exam on the alternate date at least 75 days before exam day. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Contact us (user name and password required)
2. On the Account Home page, under "Customer Service," select "Submit a Service Request"
3. Select "CFA Program" from the drop-down list in the "I have an inquiry about" field
4. Select "Religious Alternate Date" from the drop-down list in the "Specifically" field
5. Indicate that you have previously submitted the Religious Alternate Date Form in the comment section
6. After completing the required information fields, click “Submit”
