Testing Accommodations

 

We're committed to offering our exams in a manner and location accessible to individuals with disabilities, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Complete and submit the form(s) below to request special testing accommodations. 

 

Requests for ADA testing accommodations must be submitted to CFA Institute after completing enrollment but before you schedule your exam appointment with Pearson VUE. We recommend that you submit the required documentation as early as possible because some cases take significant processing time.

 

Deadlines

• March – April exam window: 31 January
• September – October exam window: 31 July

Submit the appropriate verification form(s):

• AD/HD Verification Form (PDF)
• Learning Disabilities Verification Form (PDF)
• Physical Disabilities Verification Form (PDF)
• Psychological Disabilities Verification Form (PDF) 

 

Submit these two forms by e-mail, fax, or mail, marked Attn: CIPM Testing Accommodations Coordinator.

 

Your request will be reviewed and evaluated upon receipt. If any additional documentation is required, you will be notified. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing of your request. CFA Institute will notify you in writing on the status of your request once your case has been evaluated. If approved, you can then contact Pearson VUE to schedule an exam appointment when they can accommodate your approved needs.
