Membership Benefits
CIPM Association Membership

The CIPM Association oversees certification and membership policies and Mandatory Continuing Education programs.

Mission

To promote professional and ethical excellence in the practice of investment performance evaluation and presentation.

Requirements

Upon passing the Expert exam, the work experience details you provided during exam enrollment will be submitted for professional experience review.* (If your work experience details have changed since you enrolled, contact us.)

We evaluate the professional experience statement of each candidate who passes the Expert exam, determine whether the candidate qualifies for regular membership in the CIPM Association, and notify the candidate of the decision.

Those who qualify for membership will receive an e-mail to activate  their CIPM Association membership (pay dues and submit a Professional Conduct Statement). Upon activation, the certificate will be mailed to your primary address and you may begin using the CIPM designation.

Those who do not qualify for membership will receive e-mail notification advising them that they do not qualify. Candidates may submit additional information to have their experience re-reviewed.

An ongoing requirement for using the CIPM designation is the Mandatory Continuing Education program.
