CIPM Exam Tutorial and Demo

The Pearson VUE CIPM exam tutorial explains and demonstrates the functionality of the Pearson VUE computer-based CIPM exam. We encourage you to view the tutorial and walk through the demonstration, paying particular attention to the functionality the CIPM program uses in its exams.

Before starting the exam:
  • Allow 30 minutes to read and sign the candidate pledge (required to take the exam)
  • Read the instructions that describe the exam interface; this does not affect the 180 minutes (3 hours) you have to take the exam.
Exam format:
  • Item Screens: For the Principles exam
  • Split Screen: For the Expert exam. We use a top/bottom format, where the scenario displays in the top window, and the question displays in the bottom window. You can resize the windows as needed.
  • Multiple Choice Items: Format used for both the Principles and Expert exams
Item Review section

You have the ability to flag questions for review. The review occurs once you reach the end of the exam, as long as your 180 minutes has not yet expired. Once the time expires, the exam ends automatically.
