Through continuing collaboration with its member societies, CFA Institute has been successful in obtaining recognition from regulators, other certification programs, and universities around the world. This recognition reflects the breadth of coverage and rigor of the program, as well as its leadership status in the area of ethics.
Formal global recognition of our programs comes in four categories. The four categories are: Regulator recognition primarily in the form of a number of waivers from regulatory licensing or qualification examinations around the world; Certification program recognition whereby some programs grant waivers from one or more of their exams, or from a work experience requirement, and some recognize the CFA Institute Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Program to satisfy requirements of their own programs; Educational recognition includes waivers from university courses; and Benchmarking and accreditation provides documentation on the qualification level of our programs.
