Practice Analysis Building on the Global Body of Investment Knowledge

CFA Institute regularly conducts a practice analysis survey of investment professionals around the world to determine the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are relevant to the profession. The results of the practice analysis define the Global Body of Investment Knowledge (GBIK), CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), and the Private Wealth Body of Knowledge (PW BOK) (PDF).

The Process Investment professionals, both specialists and generalists, are invited to review the GBIK and provide suggestions for additions and deletions on our collaborative website or at in-person meetings throughout the year. Learn more about the practice analysis process.

How to Participate
  1. Attend in-person meetings: The next set of practice analysis sessions will be announced soon. Contact us for more information.
  2. Contribute to the GBIK Discussion: Join our collaborative website where members and nonmembers can discuss the body of knowledge and any updates/changes that should be made. Start a discussion.
