Larry Ferguson is a leadership development consultant and coach at Compass Consulting Group. Previously, he has worked as a clinical social worker, sales/marketing representative, and corporate trainer/organizational development specialist. Mr. Ferguson brings 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field to his work providing job search and career guidance coaching to investment professionals. He has hands-on experience as an HR manager, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for senior and mid-level corporate positions, which he drew on to author The Job Hunter’s Information Toolkit, a home study course outlining proven strategies that shortcut traditional hiring steps and help job seekers land positions that complement their career goals and objectives. He has worked extensively with CFA Institute over the past five years, leading workshops and retreats for various CFA Institute and member society audiences. Mr. Ferguson earned his master’s degree from Portland State University, focusing on group dynamics and interpersonal communication.
