Richard Taffler is a professor of finance and accounting and a department head at Warwick Business School. Previously, he taught at Manchester Business School and was Martin Currie Professor of Finance and Investment at the University of Edinburgh. Professor Taffler’s research has involved topics such as stock market anomalies and the market’s inability to deal with bad news, fund manager performance and the nature of their investment decisions, and the impact of CEO overconfidence and narcissism on firm performance. He has published a number of academic and professional papers and is frequently quoted in the media.

David Tuckett is a visiting professor of psychoanalysis at University College London and a fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis. He has published books and articles in medical sociology, psychoanalysis, and behavioral finance, and his most recent book is Minding the Markets: An Emotional Finance View of Financial Instability. In 2007, the Mary Sigourney Trust presented Dr. Tuckett with a Sigourney Award for distinguished contributions to the field of psychoanalysis. He is a former president of the European Psychoanalytic Federation, editor in chief of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis, and principal of the health education studies unit at the University of Cambridge.
