Private Wealth Advisory Committee (PWAC)

Comprised of 13 globally diverse charterholders from a variety of professional settings, the PWAC advises CFA Institute on educational content, products, and research initiatives in the private wealth space. Two members of this committee are based in Canada: Tom Trainor, CFA, and Beth Hamilton-Keen, CFA.

 

Financial Analysts Journal
This peer-reviewed journal has focused on publishing works related to managing private client portfolios. For example, in 2006, the journal published works examining tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, after-tax asset allocation, and human capital. Other topics under consideration include target date retirement funds.

 

CFA Digest

Reviewing contemporary research and scholarship relevant to investment professionals, this publication has a section on private wealth management issues, such as intergenerational wealth transfer, asset allocation, annuity retirement products, and retirement withdrawal strategies.
