Homi Byramji

Homi Byramji is a senior vice president and head of investment & advisory content at Thomson Reuters. Previously, he was part of the senior management team at Multex and served on its board of directors before the company was acquired by Reuters. Mr. Byramji’s previous work has included software development for cash management systems, stock and option pricing databases, an economic database, and a Federal Reserve Bank board statistics database. He has also developed proprietary quantitative applications for institutional investors as an independent consultant. Mr. Byramji has a BTech in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from Rutgers University.

Stephen Cooper Stephen Cooper is managing director and head of valuation and accounting research at UBS Investment Bank and part-time member of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). Previously, he was a member of IASB’s Analyst Representative Group and Financial Statement Presentation Working Group. Mr. Cooper is a member of the UBS Investment Research global investment recommendations committee, and he has been repeatedly voted top European valuation and accounting analyst by Extel and Institutional Investor magazine. He holds a master’s degree in finance from the London School of Economics.

Jeffrey J. Diermeier, CFAJeffrey J. Diermeier, CFA, is president and CEO of CFA Institute after having served in numerous volunteer roles, including three years on the Board of Governors, six years on the CFA Curriculum Committee, and three years on the Board of the CFA Society of Chicago. Prior to joining CFA Institute, he was global chief investment officer at UBS Global Asset Management. Mr. Diermeier has received two Graham and Dodd Scroll Awards for research articles published in the Financial Analysts Journal and a Roger Murray Award from the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance. He is currently a member of the SEC Advisory Committee on Improvements to Financial Reporting. Mr. Diermeier holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Ralf Frank

Ralf Frank is managing director of the German Society of Investment Professionals (DVFA) and the EFFAS delegate for XBRL. Previously, he worked in business consulting and in several marketing and sales positions. Mr. Frank’s work for DVFA and EFFAS has focused on accounting standards, financial communication and reporting, and investor relations. He is a member of the board of the German XBRL jurisdiction and a member of IASCF's XBRL Advisory Committee. Mr. Frank has written several published works on financial communication and information processing. He holds an MA in communications from Essen University and an MBA from Sheffield Hallam University.

Sue Harding

Sue Harding is the European chief accountant of Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services. Previously, she was head of global accounting strategy for the European equity research business of Credit Suisse First Boston, and spent two years as a project manager at the International Accounting Standards Committee, where her primary focus was interpretation of International Accounting Standards. Ms. Harding is a member of the International Accounting Standards Board’s analyst representative group and joint working group on financial statement presentation, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group’s user panel, and the Corporate Reporting Users Forum. She is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant.

Thomas G. Hillman, CFA

Thomas G. Hillman, CFA, is director of the HOLT division at Credit Suisse. Previously, he held positions at HOLT Value Associates and PriceWaterhouse. Mr. Hillman’s areas of recent investigation include translating accounting information to economic performance measures, developing empirical research on competitive fade, and estimating firm-specific discount rates through a market-derived approach. He also supervises the HOLT Global Sector Specialist team. Mr. Hillman is a member of CFA Institute's XBRL working group, which was established to represent the needs of investors and analysts in the global implementation of XBRL. 

Mike Krzus

Mike Krzus is a partner at Grant Thornton LLP, where he is their global expert on frameworks and concepts for reporting intangibles, intellectual assets, and key performance indicators. Previously, he worked in the assurance professional standards group of Arthur Andersen. Mr. Krzus is president of the Enhanced Business Reporting Consortium and founding chairman of the World Intellectual Capital Initiative — an international network of organizations collaborating on the expansion of enhanced business reporting concepts. He is co-author of the Handbook of Accounting and Auditing and has written several professional articles. Mr. Krzus holds a BS in accounting from Calumet College.

Andrew Ling

Andrew Ling is chief technology officer for Asia-Pacific in the equity research department at UBS Investment Research. In this role, he ensures that investment in technology allows UBS to manage and grow its business efficiently, and covers topics such as monetizing research, intellectual property protection and entitlements, and content management. Previously, Mr. Ling held positions at UBS in the equities eProducts department and as head of research and development for equity research, and has also worked at I/B/E/S International. He is a member of the board of RIXML.org. Mr. Ling is a graduate of Lincoln College, University of Oxford.


David McGraw

David McGraw is senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Previously, he was chief financial officer of Bell ExpressVU, vice president for BCE/Bell Canada, and partner-in-charge of the corporate finance group of a major international accounting firm. Mr. McGraw has extensive experience in the subjects of corporate finance, banking, and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Olivier ServaisOlivier Servais is XBRL team leader at the International Accounting Standards Committee Foundation, and director of XBRL International in Europe. Previously, he was permanent secretary of XBRL in Europe, a pan-European two-year project to speed up the use of XBRL by increasing awareness. Mr. Servais has served as a member of the transparency consultative working group of the Committee of European Securities Regulators, a member at large of the XBRL International steering committee, and a member of XBRL working groups at other organizations. He holds a Licentiate’s degree (Ingénieur commercial) in business administration and a post-university degree in SME Administration, both from ICHEC Brussels Management School.

David vun Kannon is currently a director for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Previously, he held positions at KPMG, Gari Software, and Goldman Sachs. Mr. vun Kannon was one of the first co-chairs of the XBRL Specification Working Group and an editor of every version of the XBRL specification. He is a frequent speaker at conferences about XBRL and has also worked on RIXML and the XML messaging vocabulary for the GSTPA. Mr. vun Kannon holds a BS in computer science from Hofstra University and an MS in computer science from New York Institute of Technology.
