CFA Exam Admission and Appointment Policy (Computer-Based Exam)
Last Updated: 6 Aug 2020
If you arrive late for your computer-based exam appointment you may be refused admission. If you are refused admission, your exam fees are non-refundable, and non-transferable. CFA® Institute recommends that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
CFA® Program exams are offered in over 400 computer-based test centers around the world.
You are responsible for scheduling your exam appointment by the published deadline for your exam window. Appointments are first-come, first-served and appointment availability will vary by test center.
To find an exam location near you, visit our Test Center Locations page. Please note: all test centers are subject to change based on availability and demand. Test center options with confirmed available seating will be presented to you during the scheduling process.
If you need to reschedule your exam appointment in your exam window, you will be charged a non-refundable USD 25 fee* and any applicable taxes.
*We recognize that in some locations, the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 is making it difficult to finalize exam schedules, navigate travel restrictions, and secure seating in your preferred location. To help alleviate these inconveniences, we have reduced the USD 250 fee for exam changes to USD 25 for all exams in 2021.
Any appointment reschedule must be made by the published deadline. If you fail to schedule your appointment or fail to sit for the exam, your exam fees are non-refundable, non-deferrable, and non-transferable.
