With a high-quality global agenda, the seminar is packed with relevant and timely subjects designed for investment practitioners navigating investment opportunities and risks around the world.

Hosted by CFA Institute, CFA Society Chicago

We’re changing the name, not the legacy. For 64 years, the Financial Analysts Seminar has been widely known as one of the most comprehensive continuing education programs for investment professionals, with a long tradition of excellence. Benjamin Graham served on its faculty. Warren Buffett attended its sessions. And in 2019, to better reflect the global nature of the program and our audience, we’re changing the name to the CFA Institute Seminar for Global Investors.

For this seminar, held each year at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, CFA Institute gathers a faculty of leading investors and researchers to provide their insights, perspectives, and practical takeaways to a global audience of asset managers and asset owners.

With a high-quality global agenda, the seminar is packed with relevant and timely subjects designed for investment practitioners navigating investment opportunities and risks around the world. Delegates engage with speakers in in-depth discussions about new developments and trends, debate industry challenges, and participate in lively interactive case studies focused on investment management.

With the objective of improving investment decisions, participants at the seminar study an array of investment topics: the effects of global macroeconomic trends, geopolitics, and policy on investments; improving data analysis and the application of new technologies in traditional and quantitative portfolio management; and the development and allocation of a range of investment strategies, asset classes, and risks. The material places a special emphasis on improving the practice of investment management and successfully achieving client objectives.
