Fran Skinner, CFA, is a partner at AUM Partners, a boutique consulting firm she co-founded to work exclusively with financial services firms to help team members at all levels be on their “A game” through customized job assessments and training. In addition, she is an independent director on the corporate board of Fenimore Asset Management, an independently owned investment firm. Ms. Skinner has served as an independent director on the corporate board of Diamond Hill Investments, a publicly traded investment firm where she was chair of the Compensation Committee and a financial expert member of the Audit Committee. She is a regular contributor to Barron’s, writing on practice management and leadership topics. Ms. Skinner is on the board of the non-profit Women Investment Professionals of Chicago. She is co-author of High Performing Investment Teams: How to Achieve Best Practices of Top Firms. Ms. Skinner is a Certified Public Accountant and has an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
