The Regulator

The Financial Services Authority of Indonesia (OJK) regulates and supervises the financial services sector.

Requirements to Practice

A minimum of one officer in a collective investments scheme with limited participation (funds with minimum investments of US$500,000 from individuals or €500,000) must have a CFA charter to operate such a fund.

The alternative is to pass the local Investment Certificate and have five years of lead portfolio experience.

The Waiver

CFA charterholders can act as officers in a collective investments scheme with limited participation and are exempt from passage of the local Investment Certificate and having five years of portfolio management experience.
