MCE Program Activity Guidelines

Types of Activities

Certificants have broad latitude in selecting any continuing education activities they deem individually appropriate, relevant, and valuable. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following types of activities:

  • Self-study (i.e., reading, researching, webcasts, etc.)
  • Employer-based (i.e., in-house training)
  • Educational opportunities sponsored by CFA Institute, member societies, and approved providers
  • Activities offered by unaffiliated organizations/providers in any language/format

Qualifying for Credit

To qualify for credit, activities must have educational content that is relevant to and intended for investment professionals and either:
