Robert C. Pozen is chairman emeritus of MFS Investment Management and is a director of MFS funds. He is a senior lecturer at Harvard Business School and a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. Previously, Mr. Pozen served as secretary of economic affairs for Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. He was also a member of President George W. Bush’s Commission to Strengthen Social Security, where he developed a Social Security solvency proposal that was later embraced by the president. Mr. Pozen has written many articles and books, including The Fund Industry: How Your Money Is Managed. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a law degree from Yale Law School.

Theresa Hamacher, CFA, is president of the National Investment Company Service Association, which provides independent education and networking forums to professionals in the global investment management community. Previously, she served as chief investment officer for both Pioneer Investment Management USA and Prudential Mutual Funds. Ms. Hamacher has also served as the portfolio manager for the Prudential-Bache (Tax-Managed) Utility Fund. She is co-author of The Fund Industry: How Your Money Is Managed and The Pocket Idiot’s Guide to Investing in Stocks. Ms. Hamacher holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale College.
