CFA Institute Investment Foundations® Program Study Support

What to Study

As part of the Investment Foundations Program, you can use the following study materials to help you prepare for the exam:

  • The Learning Ecosystem (LES) is a customized online learning program that provides a comprehensive collection of tools and resources to help you prepare for the Investment Foundations Program exam. This fully-integrated learning tool adapts to meet your own unique study needs, and includes the full curriculum. With highlighting, games, flash cards, practice questions, mock exam, and more, the Learning Ecosystem makes learning the fundamentals of the investment industry fun and rewarding.
  • The curriculum eBook, which is fully incorporated into the Learning Ecosystem, is available as a standalone study aid. The eBook does not include mock exams, study planner, gamification, and other tools that are available through the LES. Print version is available for purchase in your candidate resources.

How to Practice

Apply what you’re learning using the Learning Ecosystem study tool. Here you can access practice questions and tests (mock exams). Questions are based on the current curriculum and are in the same format as the questions on the actual exam (multiple choice).

  • Practice: Practice questions based on lessons in the curriculum to help you assess your topic-level strengths and weaknesses.
  • Mock Exams: Mock exams are designed to mimic the exam-day experience as closely as possible. Each mock exam is timed and structured with approximately the same topic area weights and level of difficulty as the actual exam.
