Raamdeo Agrawal is the Chairman of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited (MOFSL) and the driving force behind the company’s approach to investing. MOFSL is a well-diversified financial services firm offering a range of products and services in securities, commodities, investment banking, asset management and venture capital. As Chairman of Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company Ltd. Kishor Bagri, CFA, brings a rich experience of more than 22 years across multiple industries and functions including 15 years in capital markets. He has flair across the investment chain including research, portfolio management, wealth management and investment sales. He was a portfolio manager with ING Investment Management as Sr. VP and portfolio manager, managing INR 2000 cr of AUM including INR 400 cr of offshore assets. During his 9-year stint in ING Investment Management, he has worked across investment styles – fundamental, quantitative etc. Bagri has also worked in various roles and functions including sales, business development in financial services, FMCG and telecom industry. He received CFA® charter in 2006 and is a member of the Board of Director at CFA Society India.

Sanjay Bakshi is an Adjunct Professor at Management Development Institute, Gurgram where he teaches two popular papers on Behavioral Finance and Business Valuation and Forensic Accounting and Corporate Governance. Sanjay is also Managing Partner at ValueQuest Capital LLP, a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser which advises its onshore and offshore clients on their public market investments in India. Sanjay received a M.Sc. (Economics) from London School of Economics and Political Science and B.Com. (Hons.) from University of Delhi. He is also a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Using his extensive experience in the financial services domain, he mentors first-time entrepreneurs and offers training on such subjects as leadership, entrepreneurship, and wealth management. Previously, Mr. Kalur was the founding director and CEO of TrustPlutus, a boutique wealth management firm. Abhishek Loonker
Abhishek Loonker CFA

Abhishek Loonker, CFA, is a principal at South Asia Advisors, a subadviser to GEF Capital Partners. Loonker joined the firm in 2020 and is based in Mumbai, India. He focuses on mid-market growth opportunities in South Asia and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments at the firm. Loonker has more than 17 years of professional experience in the Indian private equity and venture capital Industry. Before joining GEF Capital, he spent 16 years at Ascent Capital, a leading Indian mid-market private equity firm and was part of the founding team. While there, he also was involved in raising and managing three funds and worked on a number of investments across multiple sectors, including BigBasket.com, National Stock Exchange, RBL Bank, Cure Fit, and GMR Energy. Previously, he worked as a project manager with JGI Ventures where he consulted with several start-up firms.
Loonker serves on the board of Concord Enviro Systems, a Global Environment Fund portfolio company. He also serves as a director on the board of CFA Society India. Loonker received an MBA from MATS School of Business, where he was a gold medallist, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from HL College, Gujarat University. He also has completed an executive education program in corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions from Harvard Business School. Loonker is a CFA charterholder and has been recognized as a “40 under 40” in the alternative investment industry by the Association of International Wealth Management of India (AIWMI) and the Indian Association of Alternative Investment Funds (IAAIF).

Dr. Grace Lordan
Grace Lordan PhD.

Dr. Grace Lordan is the Founding Director of The Inclusion Initiative, Director of the MSc in Behavioural Science and an Associate Professor in Behvioural Science at London School of Economics and Political Science. She is an economist by background, and her research is focused on understanding why some individuals succeed over others because of factors beyond their control. In this regard, she has expertise on the effects of unconscious bias, discrimination and technology changes. Grace is also interested in using the techniques of behavioural science to design interventions for firms to promote good conduct, diversity and inclusion and curb biases that creep into high stakes decision making. Grace has advised and given talks to large investment banks and international conferences on these topics. Grace has also led projects to advise commissioners in the UK and policy makers in the EC. At the LSE Grace trains executives in these approaches through her teaching on corporate behaviour and decision making.

Howard Marks
Howard Marks CFA

Since the formation of Oaktree in 1995, Mr. Marks has been responsible for ensuring the firm’s adherence to its core investment philosophy; communicating closely with clients concerning products and strategies; and contributing his experience to big-picture decisions relating to investments and corporate direction. From 1985 until 1995, Mr. Marks led the groups at The TCW Group, Inc. that were responsible for investments in distressed debt, high yield bonds, and convertible securities. He was also Chief Investment Officer for Domestic Fixed Income at TCW. Previously, Mr. Marks was with Citicorp Investment Management for 16 years, where from 1978 to 1985 he was Vice President and senior portfolio manager in charge of convertible and high yield securities. Between 1969 and 1978, he was an equity research analyst and, subsequently, Citicorp's Director of Research. Mr. Marks holds a B.S.Ec. degree cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a major in finance and an M.B.A. in accounting and marketing from the Booth School of Business of the University of Chicago, where he received the George Hay Brown Prize. He is a CFA® charterholder. Mr. Marks is a Trustee and Chairman of the Investment Committee at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is a member of the Investment Committee of the Royal Drawing School and is Professor of Practice at King’s Business School (both in London). He serves on the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Council and the Advisory Board of Duke Kunshan University. He is an Emeritus Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania, where from 2000 to 2010 he chaired the Investment Board.

Michael Mauboussin
Michael J. Mauboussin

Michael J. Mauboussin is Head of Consilient Research at Counterpoint Global in New York. Previously, he was Director of Research at Blue Mountain Capital, Head of Global Financial Strategies at Credit Suisse, and Chief Investment Strategist at Legg Mason Capital Management. Mr. Mauboussin joined Credit Suisse in 1992 as a packaged food industry analyst and was named Chief U.S. Investment Strategist in 1999.

Mr. Mauboussin is the author of three books, including The Success Equation: Untangling Skill and Luck in Business, Sports, and Investing and is co-author, with Alfred Rappaport, of Expectations Investing: Reading Stock Prices for Better Returns.

Mr. Mauboussin has been an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia Business School since 1993 and is on the faculty of the Heilbrunn Center for Graham and Dodd Investing. He is also the chairman of the board of trustees at the Santa Fe Institute, a research center devoted to the study of complex systems. He earned an A.B. from Georgetown University.

Hiro Mizuno

Hiromichi Mizuno is the United Nations Special Envoy on Innovative Finance and Sustainable Investments and a member of the board of the PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) Association. He is a financial executive who previously served as executive management director and chief investment officer at GPIF (Government Pension Investment Fund of Japan). Mr. Mizuno also worked for Coller Capital and Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co. He works in various capacities to promote long-term and environmental, social, and governance investment: member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council; special adviser for the Milken Institute; member of the CFA Institute Future of Finance Advisory Council; co-chair of the One Planet Lab TCFD Work Stream; leader for the B Team; member of the Global Business Coalition for Education Advisory Board; external board member for Tesla; and member of the Danone S.A. Mission Committee. He has served as an adviser to the Office of the President of the University of Tokyo, a guest professor at the Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, executive in residence and a Global Leadership Council member at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, an executive fellow at Harvard Business School, a visiting fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School, and a senior fellow at Kellogg School of Management.

Sankaran Naren

S Naren is the Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at ICICI Prudential AMC. He joined the company in October 2004 as part of the Investment team, became CIO – Equity in 2008 and three years later, CIO for entire Mutual Fund Investment division. Naren is a leading voice on the Indian capital markets and has myriad awards to his name in fund management. He views macro and markets features prominently across media locally and globally. Naren is known to be a contrarian and value investor. His mantra is to identify a theme, neglected sector or a stock before anyone else does and hold it till it comes into limelight. He also believes in the importance of top down and bottom up thinking. He is not afraid of taking hard decisions even though the markets may be trading in the opposite direction. An interesting facet of his investing style is he will stick to his convictions even if the situation is contrary to his investment decision. Naren regards the knowledge gleaned from teachings of his three investing Gurus – James Montier, Howard Marks & Michael Mauboussin. An alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Kolkata, he has gathered an experience of 27 years spanning across roles in the financial services industry and investment management. He has worked with organizations such as Refco Sify Securities India Pvt Ltd, HDFC Securities Ltd, and Yoha Securities in various capacities.

Narayan Ramachandran
Narayan Ramachandran

Narayan Ramachandran is the Chairman & CEO of KludeIn I Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company listed on Nasdaq. He is the co-Chairman of Unitus Capital, India’s largest social enterprise bank. Narayan is also Chairman of Vivriti Asset Management, Caspian debt and UC Inclusive Credit, all pioneering firms working in bringing credit to underserved markets. Narayan recently finished a full 8-year term as Chairman of RBL Bank, one of India’s fastest growing banks. He serves as the Chairman and co-founder of InKlude Labs, a social business enterprise working in the field of education and public health. Through InKlude Labs, Narayan works with deserving enterprises to help them scale. He is currently working on incubating the Center for Wildlife Studies and Asan Cup, a feminine hygiene start-up. Earlier, Narayan was the Country Head of Morgan Stanley India, leading all of the Group’s businesses. He was the Head and lead portfolio manager of Morgan Stanley’s Global Emerging Markets and Global Asset Allocation teams, managing over $25 billion in assets. He began his career at Goldman Sachs. He served as General Partner and Member of the Global Strategy Advisory Board of L Catterton Asia, a consumer focussed growth equity firm. He is an active private equity investor in financial services, technology, social enterprise and consumer businesses. He is co-founder and Fellow of the Takshashila Foundation, a public policy school and think tank. He teaches an online graduate-level course on contemporary economics. Narayan received a B.Tech. in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. Narayan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He writes a fortnightly column titled “A Visible Hand” for The Mint Newspaper.

David M. Rubenstein is a Co-Founder and Co-Executive Chairman of The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest and most successful private investment firms. Mr. Rubenstein co-founded the firm in 1987. Since then, Carlyle has grown into a firm managing $230 billion from 30 offices around the world. Mr. Rubenstein is Chairman of the Boards of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Council on Foreign Relations; a Fellow of the Harvard Corporation; a Regent of the Smithsonian Institution; a Trustee of the National Gallery of Art, the University of Chicago, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins Medicine, the Institute for Advanced Study, the National Constitution Center, the Brookings Institution, and the World Economic Forum; a Director of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; and President of the Economic Club of Washington, among other board seats. Manish Sabharwal
Manish Sabharwal

Manish is Chairman and co-founder of Teamlease Services, one of India’s leading staffing and human capital firm. Teamlease is also implementing India’s first vocational university and national PPP apprenticeship program. The company has hired 1.8 million employees over the last 15 years.

In 1996 he co-founded India Life, an HR outsourcing company that was acquired in 2002 by a listed US company called Hewitt Associates. Consequently, he was CEO of Hewitt Outsourcing (Asia) based in Singapore for two years.

Manish is a member of the National Skill Mission, Central Advisory Board of Education and has served on various policy committees for education, employment and employability. He serves as an Independent Director on the Board of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and is an Member of Advisory Board of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). He is also Managing Trustee of the New India Foundation that offers fellowships for writing books about post-1947 India and is a columnist for Indian Express. He got his MBA from The Wharton School and is an alumnus of Shriram College, Delhi and Mayo College, Ajmer.

Lutfey Siddiqi

Lutfey Siddiqi leads the organization’s engagement, liaison, and partnership with members and stakeholders, including industry and academia. His regional and society relations teams around the world are charged with relationship management, representing the voice of the customer, and delivering on the CFA Institute mission in alignment with local market contexts.
Lutfey is a Visiting Professor-in-Practice at the London School of Economics (IDEAS) and an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore (Risk Management Institute). He is a member of the World Economic Forum Future Council on Fiscal & Monetary Policy, having previously served on the councils for the future of financing and long-term investing.
His industry experience includes stints at Deutsche Bank, Barclays and latterly UBS Investment Bank where he was Global Head of Emerging Markets for FX, Rates and Credit, and founding head of UBS Knowledge Network.
Lutfey was born in Bangladesh, went to school in the UAE, Namibia and Wales, university in England, and has worked in London, Zurich, and Singapore, mostly in multi-regional, client-facing roles.
