Pamela serves as CFA Institute Chair of the Board and CFO of Social Finance, Inc, a national non-profit organization and registered investment advisor that partners with the public, private, and social sectors to design and finance innovative, data-driven initiatives that measurably improve people’s lives. She is the former Chief Operating Officer of The Bulfinch Companies, Inc., a commercial real estate firm where she led asset management, property management, financial reporting, HR, and IT. Before Bulfinch, Pamela served as Managing Director and head of the Charitable Asset Management group at State Street Global Advisors, where she was responsible for overseeing and growing investment assets for non-profit clients. During her tenure at SSGA, Pamela successfully expanded the client base and gained high client ratings. A frequent public speaker at high-profile industry events, Pamela’s contributions were marked by her commitment to growth, excellence, philanthropy, and promoting sustainability.
Pamela spent eighteen years at Harvard Management Company, leading the Trusts and Gifts group as SVP and Head of Trust Investment and Operations while serving as a fiduciary for Harvard University’s charitable assets and employees’ pension plan. During her tenure, she successfully doubled the size of the charitable assets and established the firm’s first internal control function. Before Harvard, she spent four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor serving financial services clients.
Pamela currently serves as an independent trustee of iM Global Partner Funds. She previously chaired the Board of Boston Securities Analysts Society (now CFA Society Boston) and was a long-time trustee of Boston Ballet. Pamela did PhD Studies in French Literature at New York University. In addition to the CFA Charter, Pamela holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation and is a Certified Public Accountant since 1998. She is an avid reader and a daily distance swimmer.
CFA Institute Vice Chair of the Board
Advisory Council Member, Lovell Minnick Partners
Dr. Heinz J. Hockmann is a member of the Advisory Council of Lovell Minnick Partners LLC, a private equity company and buyout manager focusing on financial services and business services.
Heinz was an executive officer at Commerzbank AG in Germany for nearly twenty years and was a Member of the Management Board of the Bank with responsibilities for asset management, private banking, and investment banking. Earlier in his career at Commerzbank, he formed its asset management business for international institutional clients and later built the bank’s global asset management platform. Afterwards, he ran the Management Board of Westfalenbank AG, a midsize bank for corporate and private clients, investment banking, and asset management. He then joined Fortis Investments and expanded its asset management business in Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe.
In 2008, Heinz co-founded Silk Invest, an investment management company specialized in frontier markets and became its Non-Executive Chairman. Furthermore, he served on the boards of several German companies in the financial services sector including WWK, a major German insurance company, Ökoworld, a pioneer in the field of ecological and ethical investments. He is the Chairman of the Board of GET Capital, a quantitative asset management company with a focus on artificial intelligence.”
Heinz holds a master’s degree from Bochum University, where he also received his PhD in 1983. He became Professor for Banking and Finance at Justus-Liebig University in Giessen in 2017.

Tricia Rothschild, CFA is a globally respected leader in financial services, technology, and investment ecosystems, recognized for building organizations that deliver both commercial success and meaningful impact for stakeholders. As Interim Chief Executive Officer of CFA Institute, she brings a distinctive combination of strategic clarity, operational depth, and a deep commitment to advancing the integrity and effectiveness of global financial markets.
Rothschild’s career spans more than two decades at the forefront of innovation in investment research, data, and wealth technology. During her 26-year tenure at Morningstar, she played a pivotal role in scaling the firm’s global capabilities, including launching and leading its equity research business, and helping shape its evolution into a trusted, client-centric platform serving investors worldwide.
She has since held senior leadership roles across fintech and private markets, including serving as President of Apex Fintech Solutions, and as an operating partner at Advent International, where she has focused on identifying and accelerating growth opportunities in wealth and asset management through technology, data, and innovation.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, Rothschild has consistently built high-performing teams and cultures grounded in purpose, accountability, and inclusion. Her board and advisory work further reflects a commitment to expanding access to financial knowledge and empowering better investor outcomes.
Across every role, Rothschild has demonstrated a clear belief that organizations succeed when they are trusted, mission-driven, and designed to create lasting value—for clients, for employees, and for society.
She holds a bachelor of science degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in Russian and East European economics from Indiana University. She is a CFA® charterholder.
Chief Investment Officer of Australia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Future Fund
Richard Brandweiner CFA is the Chief Investment Officer of Australia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Future Fund. He has spent over thirty years working across all asset classes as a fund manager and an asset owner.
In his executive career, Richard was Chief Executive Officer of Pendal/BT, Australia and Group Executive of Perpetual Investments, both highly regarded investment management firms in Australia.
He also served as Chief Investment Officer of First State/Aware Super, one of Australia’s largest superannuation funds.
Richard has an extensive background as a Non-Executive Director. He is currently a Governor on the Global Board of the CFA Institute and Chair of Impact Investing Australia. Prior to these roles Richard served as a Director of Australian Ethical Investments Limited, was on the Investment Committee of Aboriginal Investment NT and advised a number of ultra-high net worth family offices. In his career, he also sat on the board committees of a number of the industry’s professional bodies, including the FSC and ASFA, as well as being President of the CFA Society of Australia. He is the cofounder and former Chair of the digital start-up, OpenDirector.
Richard has a Bachelor of Economics from UNSW and is a CFA Charterholder.
Executive Board Member & Head, Financial Services, Africa Finance Corporation
Banji is an Executive Board Member and Head, Financial Services at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). He is responsible for leading several business lines at AFC, including Treasury & Funding, Financial Institutions & Trade, Syndications, Capital Mobilization & Partnerships and Financial Advisory. He was previously a Senior Director and Head of Treasury & Financial Institutions at AFC.
Banji joined AFC in January 2008 as the pioneer Treasurer of the Corporation. He was instrumental in setting up the Corporation’s treasury function and leading AFC to become one of the leading investment grade African credits in the international loan and debt capital markets. AFC has a credit rating of A3/P2 from Moody’s Investor Services. Banji is responsible for overseeing the prudent management of the Corporation’s balance sheet and providing strategic leadership for the implementation of AFC’s annual funding program. He has led several landmark transactions that AFC has executed in global capital markets, which enabled AFC to significantly diversify its funding sources and tap new sources of capital. He is also responsible for the management of AFC’s relationship with rating agencies, bankers, and asset managers.
Prior to joining AFC, Banji worked with the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities team of Citibank Nigeria and the Tax and Business Advisory Division of former Arthur Andersen.
Banji is a chartered accountant and CFA charterholder, with a first degree in Economics (University of Ibadan), a master’s degree in International Finance (University of Glasgow) and a master’s degree in International Business (International School of Management, Paris). He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School. He sits on the board of several companies including the Board of Governors of CFA Institute.
Partner & Portfolio Manager at IDG Capital
Mei Gao joined IDG Capital, a preeminent Asia-focused alternative asset management firm with over USD 30 billion of assets under management (AUM), as a Partner in 2016 to focus on cross-border investments. From 2003-2016, Mei held various leadership roles, including President and Head of Portfolio Management at Fore Research & Management, a New York City-based hedge fund with over USD 3 billion of peak AUM, and gained extensive investment experience. In 2013, she was listed as one of “the 25 Most Powerful Women on Wall Street” by bussinessinsider.com. Mei started her career in finance at TD Securities where she spent five years managing the bank’s convertible arbitrage portfolio. Mei serves on the board and chairs the investment committee of Cavamont Investment Advisors, a multi-billion-dollar family office. She served as a board member of The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA) from 2004-2006. Mei holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BA from Shantou University. She is also a CFA charterholder.
West Florida Market President, BNY Wealth
Jennifer Garbowicz, CFA, CIPM, is a senior wealth management executive recognized for building markets, leading high-performing teams, and strengthening institutions through disciplined strategy and principled leadership. She currently serves as West Florida Market President and Senior Director at BNY Wealth, where she oversees strategy, growth, and performance across the region. In this role, Jennifer leads multidisciplinary teams spanning investment management, banking, lending, fiduciary, and wealth planning services.
With nearly two decades of experience in wealth management—preceded by an early career in healthcare—Jennifer brings a broad, systems-level perspective to leadership and client service. Prior to joining BNY Wealth, she held senior roles at Bank of America Private Bank, where drove new market growth, and at Sabal Trust, an independent trust and investment management firm. Her background includes managing sophisticated equity and fixed-income portfolios, shaping investment strategy, and serving on investment and trust committees responsible for long-term stewardship and fiduciary oversight.
Governance and institutional leadership are central to Jennifer’s professional identity. She currently serves as a Governor on the CFA Institute Board of Governors, contributing to the global direction of the investment profession and reinforcing the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence. In addition, she has held board roles across hospital systems, nonprofit organizations, and emerging companies, where she is valued for her judgment, strategic insight, and ability to guide organizations through growth and change.
Jennifer is also an active voice within the industry, participating in leadership discussions, panels, and media engagements focused on markets, governance, and the evolving role of wealth management. Her thought leadership reflects a practical, forward-looking perspective grounded in experience and a deep understanding of client and institutional needs.
She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement, earned an MBA in Finance, and completed advanced leadership training at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, as well as the High Performance Board program at IMD Business School in Switzerland. Outside of her professional work, Jennifer is an avid traveler, endurance athlete, and lifelong learner, having summitted Mt. Kilimanjaro and frequently participating in long-distance running events—pursuits that mirror her disciplined, resilient approach to leadership.
Senior Vice President and Head – Alternative Investments and Multi-Asset Investment
Risk Management, Northern Trust Asset Management
Ravi A. Gautham, CFA is a Senior Vice President and Head of Alternatives and Multi-Asset Risk Management at Northern Trust Asset Management, Chicago, a role he assumed as of October 2024. Previously, Ravi was head of Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) in India.
In that capacity, he was responsible for playing multiple roles- the build out and expansion of several front and middle office functions that relate to the investment business of Northern Trust, as well as positioning the business appropriately in the market. He served on the Executive Management Team and the Boards of Northern Trust’s two India subsidiaries, with a combined workforce of over 8000 employees.
Prior to his executive leadership role in India, Ravi spent 17 years at Northern Trust’s global headquarters in Chicago in a variety of leadership roles across several other Nothern Trust businesses on the institutional side. Ravi began his career in 1994 as a investment performance analyst and subsequently became a founding member of the allied investment risk consulting team. That was followed by capital markets activity- securities lending and transition management.
In 2003, Ravi moved to Northern Trust Asset Management as Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Risk Management, at Northern Trust Global Advisors Inc. In that capacity, Ravi was responsible for the management of investment risk and its integration into the portfolio management process, globally, across multiple assets classes. Additionally, as a senior member of the Global Investment Solutions team and investment policy committee, he was responsible for formulating and evaluating custom investment solutions and hedging strategies around the management of pension assets and liabilities for large pension plan sponsors.
Ravi moved to Bangalore, India in 2010 to establish and grow the NTAM India team across most investment functions, further supporting global regions and legal entities. In addition he provided broad Executive leadership and Board level oversight of the India legal entity.Ravi has written articles on, published papers, and spoken on investment risk and portfolio management issues at several investment conferences and panels worldwide.
Ravi holds an MSc. (Hons.) in Economics and Management Studies from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science and an MBA in Finance with a full Finance research scholarship from the University of Ohio, Toledo.Ravi is a CFA charterholder and a member of CFA Society Chicago and CFA Society India. He is also a member of the Global Association of Risk Management Professionals.
Senior Advisor, Bae, Kim & Lee LLC | President, Seoul Financial Forum
Kyung wook Hur is a seasoned economist and global finance expert with over three decades of experience in public policy, international finance, and corporate governance. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (BKL), one of Korea’s leading law firms, and as President of the Seoul Financial Forum. In addition, he holds independent directorships at Doosan Corporation Holdings and POSCO Future M.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Hur spent nearly 30 years in public service, including as Vice Minister of Korea’s Ministry of Finance. During this time, he played a critical role in helping Korea navigate both the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis and the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. These experiences fostered a strong expertise in risk management, financial regulation, and macroeconomic policy.
He also brings over 16 years of experience in international organizations. His global career includes:
Six years at the IBRD and IFC as a Young Professional and Senior Financial Analyst,
Three years as Senior Economist at the IMF,
Three years as Korea’s Ambassador to the OECD, and
Four years as a non-resident advisor to AMRO (ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office) in Singapore.
These roles have given him a global perspective and ease in working across diverse cultures and governance systems. Since leaving public office in 2013, Mr. Hur has actively contributed to the private sector, serving as an independent board member for major Korean conglomerates and financial institutions including Samsung Life Insurance, GS Holdings, Doosan Corporation, and POSCO Future M.
He holds a BA in Business Administration from Seoul National University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has also shared his expertise in academia, teaching International Finance as a visiting professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management and at the Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University.
Mr. Hur became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder in 1999 and earned a Certificate in ESG Investing in 2021.
Founder and CEO, Maisonneuve Global Advisors
Virginie Maisonneuve is the Founder and CEO of Maisonneuve Global Advisors, a Londonbased advisory and executive coaching firm serving clients worldwide. She supports asset managers on investment capability, team dynamics, AI integration and governance. She also provides tailored executive coaching for senior investment leaders and board members.
Before founding the firm, she spent over 35 years in asset management based in Asia, Europe and the US. Her career includes roles such as Global CIO at Eastspring, Global CIO for equities at PIMCO and at Allianz Global Investors, Head of Global Equities at Schroders, and Co-CIO at Clay Finlay. Across these roles she built and led global investment teams through successive market regimes, with responsibility for platforms of circa USD 200 billion in assets under management with direct oversight of investment process, team structure and decision-making. She began her career in Beijing as a consultant for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Alongside the CFA Institute Board of Governors, Virginie serves on the advisory council of the IMF Staff Retirement Plan and the CFA Institute Research and Policy Centre Advisory Council. She is a regular keynote speaker on the future of asset management, the impact of AI on markets, and China's role in the global economy. She is a regular market commentator including for Bloomberg, CNBC and the FT.
Virginie studied political economy in Chinese at Renmin University in Beijing and holds an MBA from ESLSCA. She has completed executive programmes at MIT, Cambridge and Oxford Saïd. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® charter, Henley Business School's Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching, accredited by the ICF, EMCC and Association for Coaching, and a master's-level module in neuroscience and psychology applied to behaviour change.
Chief Risk Officer, USS Ltd and USS Investment Management Ltd
Lindsey is Chief Risk Officer for Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) and its dedicated investment management arm, USSIM. Prior to joining USS in 2020, he worked at UBS for 28 years in various roles across Asset Management, Wealth Management, Investment Banking and Risk Control, latterly as Global Head of Investment Risk and CRO for UK and Europe. Lindsey was a member of the board of CFA Society of the UK from 2017, and Chair of the board from 2021, until the end of his term in November 2023. He also chaired the CFA UK Exams and Education Committee overseeing the various certificates run by CFA UK. He has an MA in Natural Sciences and Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, received his CFA Charter in 2001 and also holds the CIPM designation.
