CFA Institute Appoints Kazim Razvi to Director, Financial Reporting Policy, EMEA
CFA Institute, the global association of investment management professionals, has appointed Kazim Razvi to the role of Director, Financial Reporting Policy, EMEA, effective immediately.
Based in London, Razvi will work closely with standard setters, regulators and policymakers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, to advance CFA Institute policy positions with a primary focus on financial and corporate reporting.
“Kazim brings a great depth of technical expertise in the critical field of financial reporting”, said Gary Baker, CFA, Managing Director for EMEA and Industry and Policy Research at CFA Institute. “An integral part of the work of CFA Institute is to develop and administer codes, best practice guidelines, and standards that guide the investment industry and help ensure all investment professionals are appropriately supported through policies and standards as they pertain to the investment decision-making process. Kazim is a strong addition to our growing team of policy and regulatory outreach specialists in EMEA, and I’m delighted to welcome him.”
Razvi previously served as Global Head of Accounting Research & Policy at Fitch Ratings, and as a Technical Accounting Advisor to Moody’s Corporation. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young working in its banking and capital markets division, and is currently a member of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) Pension Plans Advisory Panel.
