CFA Institute Reports Results for CFA® Program Level I Testing in May

7 July, 2022
New York City United States

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces that of 19,403 candidates worldwide who sat for the Level I CFA® Program exam in May, 38 percent have passed. All candidates will be notified of their results today.

Chris Wiese, CFA, Managing Director, Credentialing at CFA Institute, comments:

“Congratulations to all our Level I candidates who passed their May exam. This is a tremendous achievement and shows a commitment to building a solid foundation of knowledge that can support any number of career paths in the investments industry.

It is encouraging to see the continued rise in the Level I pass rate. In the May exam administration we experienced pandemic-related cancellations in only four cities of the over 300 cities in which we test. We remain cautiously optimistic that candidates are again beginning to move through the CFA Program at the usual pace and with pass rates closer to historical norms.”

Candidates for the May Level I CFA Program exams attended in person at one of 600 proctored computer-based examination venues located in 364 cities in 100 markets worldwide. Both Level I and Level III exams were held during the May testing period. Level III results will be released to candidates on 28 July.  Historical pass rates can be found at the following link: Exam Results and Pass Rates.
