These are some of the most common questions we have been asked about the certificate.
|What prerequisites, including CFA knowledge, ESG qualifications and math proficiency, are needed for the certificate?
|While a CFA is not necessary, participants should have basic financial analysis and valuation skills (equivalent to CFA Level1) or the Certificate in ESG Investing. Knowledge of advanced math is not required.
|How practical are the skills taught, and how quantitative and qualitative is the curriculum?
|The curriculum builds a comprehensive range of skills that have application in all aspects needed in climate and investing, including scenario analysis, transition planning and much more. You can read the learning outcomes here. It covers both quantitative aspects, such as risk metrics, valuation models etc, and qualitative ones, including the topics covered.
|What is the deadline to register and are spaces limited?
|The first cohort starts on 26 February, but you can register to be part of the first cohort up until the 4 March. There is no limit on the spaces available.
|How flexible is the study schedule and are the dates of the final assessment fixed?
|The certificate is made up of five courses, which each involve three weeks of study, with a quiz at the end of each week, and an assignment in the fourth week. After the end of the fifth course, you have six months in which to take the final assessment (within 12 months of when your cohort started). You have two attempts to take the assessment.
