Typical exam day schedule
The ESG exam is administered in person at test centers in the markets listed. To determine the availability of specific test centers, please search using Proscheduler.
This certificate is not yet offered globally. We are working to expand the certificate into additional markets. At this time, for example, we are not able to test candidates on mainland China. This applies to in-person testing as well as online proctored exams.
Sample exam day logistics
- Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive late for your appointment you may be refused admission.
- Bring your valid, unexpired and original government-issued photo ID.
- Leave your belongings at home, in your car, or in the designated personal belongings area at the test center.
- Dress comfortably.
- You may work through the exam at your own pace.
- Listen for testing personnel to give you instructions, such as how to request to take a break.
The exam is to be completed within 2 hours and 20 minutes.
IST test drive experience
For the IST test drive experience, you will book an appointment at a date, time, and location that is convenient to you. We recommend you book at the same location you will be testing at for your ESG exam. You will arrive at the test center, go through the same check in and security steps that you would as if it were your actual exam appointment. This gives you a chance to become familiar with the test center layout and workstation equipment.
