Investment Foundations Academic Program
Introducing students to a world of financial knowledge
CFA Institute invites academic institutions to participate in our affiliation offering, the Investment Foundations® Academic Program.
This program allows academic institutions to share the Investment Foundations Program curriculum with students and strengthen the link between academic education and the professional landscape.
The Investment Foundations Program covers the essentials of finance, ethics, and investment roles, providing a clear understanding of the global investment industry.
Academic Benefits
- As an offering from CFA Institute, students who earn the Investment Foundations Certificate may enjoy increased marketability for future employment and internships.
- Professors are granted license to use our Investment Foundations seminars-in-a-box, a set of supporting PowerPoint slides for all 20 chapters of the Investment Foundations curriculum, plus access to a sample exam.
- Participating universities are listed on our website and other venues.
How It Works
- Academic institutions must teach at least one course based on the content of the Investment Foundations curriculum.
- The course must cover 70% of the Learning Outcome Statements (LOS) in the curriculum and include the CFA Institute ethics.
- The course can be part of any type of program.
- Academic institutions must promote the Investment Foundations certificate program to all eligible students.
