    The CMPC will assist the Advocacy Division in, among other things: • Identifying and addressing current and emerging issues that are expected to affect global investment practices and the integrity of the global financial markets. The CMPC will consider ways to address these issues through a variety of mechanisms; • Developing position papers and discussion documents that present the views of investors and investment professionals on emerging and ongoing issues so as to demonstrate CFA Institute thought-leadership, shape the debate, and influence policy choices by legislators, regulators and standard-setters; and maintaining liaison with, and responding to, initiatives of bodies worldwide that set laws, regulations, standards, and policies that affect, or have the potential to affect, the integrity and fairness of the investment management industry and the global capital markets.
