Sustainable Investing Advisory Panel

Purpose

The Sustainable Investing Advisory Panel (SIAP) is governed as a sub-committee of the Education Advisory Committee (EAC).

The SIAP serves an advisory role providing recommendations and feedback to CFA Institute on various Sustainability-related products including the Sustainable Investing Certificate (SIC), the Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate (CRVIC), and on sustainability-related content in the CFA® Program Curriculum.

In addition, the SIAP provides the Education Division at CFA Institute with advice on future projects related to sustainability.

Jina Choi

Director of Investment Risk Management, Orix Life Insurance

Jina Choi, CFA is Director of Investment Risk Management at ORIX Life Insurance in Tokyo, Japan.  She focuses on credit and private asset risk factor analysis, which aligns with broader efforts to integrate sustainability factors into capital markets. She also contributes from a risk management perspective to the company’s implementation of the Stewardship Code.

Previously, Jina worked at the National Pension Service (NPS) of South Korea, contributing to ESG strategy and stewardship practice. She also served as an ESG Analyst at Mirae Asset Securities.   Earlier in her career, she gained exposure to ESG and climate-related consulting projects at ERM, a global sustainability consulting firm, and at Sustinvest, a leading ESG research and advisory firm.

Jina holds an MBA from Kyoto University and is a CFA Charterholder.  She also holds various sustainability-related certificates such as: the GARP SCR Certificate, the EFFAS CESGA Certificate, the CFA Institute Sustainable Investing Certificate, and the CFA Institute Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate.

Jacopo Gadani

VP for Sustainable Strategy and Policy, Barclays

Jacopo Gadani, CFA, is a VP for Sustainable Strategy and Policy at Barclays. He has previously worked as a VP in the Sustainability Solutions Team at Santander and at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) supporting sustainable investments. Jacopo has experience in sustainable and transition finance topics and products, from capital market instruments to bespoke solutions. He is a CFA Charterholder and volunteer for the CFA Institute and CFA UK Society in various initiatives. These include the drafting and completion of climate certifications (CFA UK Climate and Investing) and on public consultations (such as on the UK Green Taxonomy and IFRS on climate disclosure examples). Jacopo graduated from Sabanci University with a Master in Finance.

Managing Director (Singapore) and Head of Investment Management (APAC & MEA), Colchester Global Investors

Claudia Gollmeier, CFA, CIPM, is Managing Director (Singapore) and Head of Investment Management (APAC & MEA) at Colchester Global Investors. She leads the management of global and emerging bond portfolios and oversees macroeconomic and ESG research across the regions.

Claudia chairs the UN PRI Sovereign Debt Advisory Committee and co-chairs the Assessing Sovereign Climate-related Opportunities and Risks (ASCOR) initiative, which aims to improve transparency and climate risk assessment in sovereign debt investing. She previously served on the UN PRI Fixed Income Advisory Committee and chaired the UN PRI Sovereign Working Group.

Claudia co-authored a chapter of CFA Institute Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate, contributing the fixed income section within a broader equity and fixed income framework. Claudia is a CFA charterholder and has holds the Certificate in Performance Measurement (CIPM) designation.

Head of Research, Sustainable Finance, Environmental Defense Fund

Andrew Howell, CFA is Head of Research, Sustainable Finance at Environmental Defense Fund. He leads a team of researchers covering various topics relating to climate change and the energy transition, including oil & gas, transportation, sustainable agriculture and insurance.

Previously, Andrew was an equity research analyst and strategist with Citi Research for two decades, where he led a top ranked research team focused on emerging and frontier markets. Andrew has also worked at the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance, where he led investor ESG engagements in the mining and energy sectors.

Andrew is an Adjunct Instructor of Climate Finance at the Columbia University Climate School. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and Insead, holds the CFA Designation and the Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate from the CFA Institute and holds the Fundamentals of Sustainable Accounting (FSA) credential from the IFRS Foundation. He is fluent in French and Russian and lives in the New York City area.

Investment Director, Climate Fund Managers (CFM)

Jirong Lim, CFA, is an Investment Director at Climate Fund Managers (CFM), a climate-centric blended finance fund manager. CFM designs and deploys climate finance funds at scale and at pace, working in partnership to develop climate-resilient solutions. At CFM, he leads investments across Asia, overseeing the full transaction process from due diligence and structuring through to investment committee approval and execution. He also serves as a Board Director and Investment Committee member on several portfolio companies, providing governance and strategic direction.

Beyond his investment work, Jirong was a Panel Member for the CFA Institute’s Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate, contributing to curriculum design that equips professionals with tools to integrate climate considerations into financial analysis.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Sembcorp Industries in business development and began at Deloitte & Touche. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Jason Mitchell

Head of Responsible Investment Research, Man Group

Jason Mitchell is Head of Responsible Investment Research at Man Group. He worked at GLG Partners from 2004 to 2008 as a portfolio manager before advising the UK government from on infrastructure development across Sub-Saharan Africa. He returned to GLG Partners in 2010—then acquired by Man Group—as a portfolio manager for global climate and sustainable strategies before moving into a dedicated RI role across Man Group in 2017.

Jason is Chair of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF). He also currently serves on the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation Investment Committee, International Sustainable Standards Board (ISSB) Investor Advisory Group, the World Bank Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition Advisory Group, and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Listed Equities Advisory Committee.

He has hosted the award-winning podcast series, A Sustainable Future, since 2018. He is a contributing author to the both the CFA Institute’s Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate (2024) and Sustainable Investing Certificate (2020); Responsible Investing: A Guide to Environmental, Social, and Governance Investments (Routledge: 2018); and Sustainable Investing: Revolutions in Theory and Practice (Routledge: 2017) and Evolutions in Sustainable Investing: Strategies, Funds and Thought Leadership (Wiley Finance: 2012).

Head-Sustainable Investment, DSP Mutual Fund

Hardik is a seasoned sustainability and ESG leader with over 17 years of experience spanning ESG research and integration, climate and carbon advisory —bringing a deep understanding of how sustainability factors impact investment performance.  At DSP Asset Managers, he spearheads sustainable investing initiatives, partnering with investment teams to embed ESG insights into investment processes and deliver integrated solutions for clients in India and globally. He is also working on a launching and managing a sustainable public equities strategy focused on climate mitigation and adaptation solutions, affordable healthcare and financial inclusion.

Previously, at GMO, Hardik built and led the firm’s global ESG capability across asset classes since inception. His work included developing proprietary tools such as a country-level ESG model and the GMO ESG Score, supporting integration and stewardship efforts. Earlier, Hardik led a global ESG research team at Sustainalytics, contributed to ESG Ratings at MSCI, and climate change advisory at Ernst & Young.

Hardik holds an engineering degree, a postgraduate diploma in Finance, the CFA charter, and sustainability credentials including FSA (SASB) and SCR (GARP).

Peter Wilmshurst

Peter Wilmshurst, CFA, has worked as an equity portfolio manager for over 30 years, predominantly investing in global equities, including 22 years with the Templeton Global Equity Group and 4 years with Nanuk Asset Management.  Nanuk’s focus is on investing in global shares focused on environmental sustainability and resource efficiency.  Peter has covered a wide range of equity sectors ranging from technology to telecoms to capital goods to banks.  Before working for Templeton, he managed Australian equities at Norwich Investment Management and worked as an actuary at MLC Life Company.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Economics degree and a Master of Economics degree from Macquarie University. Peter is a CFA charterholder and has completed CFA Institute’s Certificate in Sustainable Investing.  He is a past president of the CFA Society Melbourne.

Head of Sustainable Investment Advisory and Integration, APAC, Schroders

Dan Chi Wong is the Head of Sustainable Investments Advisory and Integration, APAC at Schroders. She has specialised in ESG in Asia since 2010, after training at the United Nations University by leading practitioners from institutions such as The World Bank and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Dan Chi serves as Vice-Chair of the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC).

A firm believer in capacity building, Dan Chi has served as Adjunct Faculty at Singapore Management University (SMU) at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a regular guest lecturer at INSEAD MBA & MiM.

Dan Chi received a BAcc (Hons) in Accountancy from SMU and is a Chartered Accountant. She obtained a MSc in Environmental Economics from SOAS and a MSt in Sustainability Leadership from University of Cambridge.
