Sanctions Compliance Policy
It is the policy of CFA Institute to comply with all applicable trade sanctions regulations (“Sanctions Laws”) applicable to our operations and activities.
Under these Sanctions Laws, CFA Institute is unable to provide services to individuals who live in countries subject to certain sanctions. If you reside in Cuba, North Korea, or the Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk or Luhansk regions of Ukraine, CFA Institute cannot conduct business with you. Effective 11 November 2025, due to sanctions restrictions from our vendors, we will no longer be able to accept payments from candidates residing in Iran and Syria.
Due to the heightened sanctions in Russia, CFA Institute is not currently providing services or products to individuals who reside in Russia.
CFA Institute also cannot do business with individuals or employees of entities included on a US, UK, EU or UN sanctions list. It is your responsibility to ensure that your employer is not included on one of these lists. We advise potential candidates to check these lists for their employer’s name before registering for a CFA Institute program. If you attempt to register for a program despite sanctions that prohibit CFA Institute from doing business with you, we may be required to cancel your registration, and we will not be able to refund your payment.
