Since 2016, AMIB and CFA Institute have worked together to develop a proficiency model that would include the CFA program. This new model, that is followed by other regulators around the world, will ensure the competency of professionals, protect investors and recognize the educational interests, professional backgrounds and career goals of those who are seeking to obtain the CFA designation.

With this agreement, candidates who have passed Level I of the CFA program will be able to meet part of the certification requirements as: Mutual Fund Representative, Securities Representative, Financial Advisor Representative, Money Market Trader and Equity Trader.
