CFA Institute Names Steven Hendry Chief Financial Officer
CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces the appointment of Steven Hendry as its Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
Hendry leads a global team in overseeing the finance operations of the organization, reporting to Margaret Franklin, CFA, President and CEO, CFA Institute. He previously served as interim CFO and, before that, Global Controller of CFA Institute.
“Steven’s experience has been invaluable from the outset,” said Margaret Franklin, CFA, President and CEO of CFA Institute. “He joined the organization at a time of turmoil in the world, and we are grateful for his stewardship of our finances and his continued leadership now as CFO.”
Hendry has more than 20 years' financial and leadership experience. He held roles at Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank, and Perpetual, where he led regional and global teams across Europe, Asia Pacific, and the United States. His career covers financial control, reporting and analysis, finance transformation, strategic financial planning, strategic change programs to improve efficiencies and transparency, and oversight of audit and regulatory initiatives.
Mr. Hendry is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA/CGMA) and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Financial Services.
