CFA Institute launches new Principles of Sustainable Investing Certificate in simplified Chinese

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces the worldwide launch today of the Principles of Sustainable Investing Certificate in simplified Chinese, a new online certificate designed to build upon the success of the existing Sustainable Investing Certificate and equip Chinese-speaking financial and real economy professionals around the world with foundational skills in sustainable investing.

The new certificate is designed to address the demand for talent with sustainable and ESG investing expertise from both real economy and investment industry. Presented entirely in simplified Chinese, the certificate provides essential knowledge in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors crucial for sustainable finance.

Priced at an introductory US$348 (in the first three months. Normally $488) and designed for industry professionals responsible for sustainability reporting, ESG strategy, investment analysis, and compliance, the new certificate is ideal for those working within corporates seeking to expand their careers internationally and those involved in global supply chains. The certificate offers a structured and comprehensive curriculum covering ESG fundamentals, environmental risk assessments, social value investment, governance strategies, and active stewardship.

Centrally administered by CFA Institute via online proctored testing (OPT) that can be accessed by participants anywhere in the world, the new certificate combines accessibility with rigorous standards. Participants will benefit from tailored online study resources, annual content updates reflecting the latest industry trends, and insights into international ESG frameworks. The final assessment requires learners to answer 60 multiple-choice questions within 2 hours, and learners will receive a digital badge upon passing the exam, demonstrating their dedication to advancing their knowledge and skills.
