The CFA community here in Calgary is incredible. We have a huge community hosted tons of events. 

I've met a lot of really great people, really, would encourage anyone that has an opportunity to work with the local society to do so because it’s quite rewarding.

Beyond the designation alone, the CFA community comprises, in my opinion, the greatest global financial fraternity ever created.

Here in Los Angeles, California, I’ve seen how the profession has changed since the 2008 financial crisis. What I’ve learned is that my career wouldn’t look the way that it does today without the community that has been alongside me. The CFA network has supported me throughout every stage of my career, long after I finished taking the exams.

Our 200,000 member community has CFA charterholders and professionals in 160 markets around the world, supported by local CFA societies.

Shortly after I obtained my CFA charter, not knowing too many people in Toronto, I knew that becoming part of the society was the number one thing I had to do.

CFA society Toronto has really given me a launchpad to go and try out new ideas and develop new skills, be it leadership, communication, presentation, learning how to network with C-suite people. So it’s truly been incredible from that standpoint.

The once a year event where I am simply blown away by the amount of diversity in the CFA network. Is the CFA Annual Conference, I was able to meet folks from all over the world sharing ideas about the private wealth space.

At CFA Institute, we offer charterholders and members more than just a qualification. We provide lifelong support to shape their careers and the future of the profession.

Besides the credibility, besides the knowledge, besides all this, the great recognition that will come with the charter, what they will get from the community is some that cannot be described.You just have to experience it. Even coming to networking events, there’s always something coming out that will help you, in your work, in your everyday life, and I really I cannot stress how important this is.
