CFA® Exam Test Center Updates

July 2021 Exam

We know that the COVID virus moves fast, affects regions in different ways, and causes governments to introduce restrictions that change over time. However, many government lockdowns do contain provisions that allow educational testing to continue, and computer-based test centers can be modified to meet other pandemic restrictions.

If you do not hear that your exam has been impacted, you should assume it will take place as scheduled. Based on our experience, we know it is futile to guess which restrictions will be in place more than a few weeks ahead of time. That is why we have this plan in place:

There will be an ongoing review of testing feasibility in all cities throughout the testing window. If your exam is impacted, you will receive notification via email from CFA Institute and/or Prometric.

No action is required at this time. It is not necessary to contact us to confirm your appointment. Please understand that the CFA Institute Customer Care department does not have scheduling information and will be unable to resolve scheduling questions.

Check Prometric’s Test Center Policies page and the test center specific COVID related venue entry requirements here.

China has specific policies in place based on local guidelines. If you are taking an exam in China, please click here.
